The “Macrochip” was Commissioned by the Holland MIchigan digital design firm Collective Idea.  Referencing the fundamental technology of their trade, the microprocessor, this piece mixes the patterns of conductors and transistors as seen through a microscope with themes of both pop and local culture.  Hidden within were many “Easter Eggs” for the crew to find and enjoy.  The structure is entirely  plasma cut aluminum,  tabbed together into panels that were installed on the wall.
